About Sejingkat Terminal

Sejingkat Terminal is owned by Sarawak River Board and on 2nd April 2004 she had jointly agreed with Kuching Port Authority under its co-operative partnership agreement to manage the operation and management of its ancillary facilities, namely the wharf, open yard and transit shed. KPA has then appointed Portrade International Sdn Bhd to operate and manage the terminal and commenced operations in May 2004. Sejingkat Terminal is designed to cater for vessels of up to 5,000 DWT with an overall length of 125 meters drawing 7.5 meters of water. It is mainly used to handle bulk cargoes such as woodchips, coal, clay, cement clinker, and palm kernels and also to cater for domestic vessels.

Location

Sejingkat Terminal is situated at Demak Laut Industrial Park, Sejingkat and is about 20km from Kuching City and about 5km away from the Senari Container Terminal.
It serves local importers and exporters to import and export bulk cargoes like cement clinker, woodchips, coal, clay and palm kernels to international markets as well as to serve as a gateway to all domestic ports within Sarawak.
